After a 20-year career as a senior executive, Joe balances his board positions with engaged service to his community at the local, national and international level. Joe currently sits on the board of the Computer History Museum, is an Executive Director of the Harvard College Fund, and is a long-term member of both the Council on Foreign Relations (where he co-Chairs the Subcommittee on Diversity) and the Trilateral Commission. He is a former Obama Administration political appointee.

Joe is focused on positive impact to business, consumers and society. He currently sits on the Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence Advisory Council, advises the 2024 Selection Committee for 50 Women to Watch for Boards. Since 2020, he has served as a faculty leader and adviser for Santa Clara University's Black Corporate Board Readiness Program.
